Message from Antix Music Network RE; Coronavirus


The past week has been very challenging for Antix; with the likes of Abbey Hill and Yeovil Beer Fest postponing their events in the same week, we have been in big discussions about future Antix Events.


After discussing the outbreak situation with venues, managers, artists and supporters, we have decided go ahead as planned with most Antix events, until we get to a point we have to stop; e.g. the Government banning live music events, lockdowns etc.


We will continue to monitor the situation and government advice on how best to keep our artists and the public safe. Please be aware that events may have to be cancelled at the last minute. Any changes will be posted to the Antix Facebook, Instagram and website.


Multi Artist Events - we advise artists to cancel, even if at short notice, and stay at home if they have a persistent cough, a high temperature, or have been in contact with anyone with Coronavirus in the past week.


Open Mics - we ask musicians if they want to perform, but don’t want to use our equipment (especially microphones which are used by multiple artists per night), you are welcome to bring anything you wish - we will not take offence, and we actively encourage artists to bring their own equipment, especially microphones, where possible, and bring hand sanitizer and wash their hands regularly.


At every Antix event; equipment, especially microphones, will be cleaned with antibacterial wipes between every artists performance. Hand Sanitiser will also be available if you have forgotten your own, but due to national shortages, please bring your own where possible.

For now, stay safe, and self isolate if you have either of the following symptoms:
A high temperature OR
A persistent cough
